Welcome to the Meditation Retreat!   Many people have an interest in meditation and its benefits, but find that attempts to focus and concentrate the mind are difficult, if not impossible. What’s needed is a meditation that utilizes the natural tendencies of the mind rather than trying to subdue it.

During this course you’ll learn an ancient practice that allows the conscious mind to settle deeply into itself in a natural, effortless way.  This meditation is enjoyable, relaxing, and simple.  As the mind settles down it simply lets go of tension and stress and centers itself in the present moment.  The meditation technique you’ll learn takes no concentration and the results are immediate. Also included in this retreat is a 1-hour guided hike (weather permitting) and 1-hour pottery class (shippings/glazing fee not included); participants are strongly encouraged to schedule these activities prior to arrival.

The effects of this practice are cumulative and seamlessly integrate the inner world of rest, peace and joy with the outer world of action and achievement. This integration of the inner and outer brings about a natural unfoldment of who you are, allowing the full development and expression of body, mind and heart. The profound rest gained during our Meditation Retreat affects every aspect of life, including bringing fresh energy, clarity, and a quieting of the mind.

Your course will include group classes as well as personal instruction, and sessions will include both experiential practice of the meditation technique and knowledge of the nature of the mind as it relates to practicing meditation.
