Dr. Harrison Graves

Dr. Harrison Graves is a physician-yogi who chose to leave Western specialty (Emergency Medicine) in 2007 to teach the Yoga of Sound, the yoga of music and mantra. It had been his good fortune to do a year long Yoga of Sound internship in 2002 with master sound yogi, Russill Paul (Anirud Jaidev) of Chennai, author of The Yoga of Sound. In addition, Dr. Graves studied Kundalini Yoga and Ayurveda for two years at the Wisdom Fire School of Yoga in Berkeley.

Dr. Graves believes that many illnesses, especially those anxiety related, can be best treated with Ayurveda, lifestyle changes and yoga. In 2010, Dr. Graves began teaching mantra yoga, presenting Yoga of Sound workshops at yoga studios and wellness centers along the East Coast. In 2014, he published his first interactive ebook, The Mystical Chakra Mantras: How to Balance Your Own Chakras with the Yoga of Sound, with links to YouTube where readers may experience the mantras. In 2015, he began to write alternative medical blogs on hubpages.com, taught Mantra Meditation at the McLean Meditation Institute in Sedona and published his second book, Mantra Meditation: An Alternative Treatment For Anxiety and Depression. In 2016, he launched an online course on the Daily OM and a new website: harrisongravesmd.com. Currently, he is blog writer, volunteer and wellness physician at the Art of Living Retreat Center and Spa. More
