Sharon Nash
Sharon discovered her passion for teaching while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in southern Africa in the early 90’s. After more than ten years in the public school classroom and as a teacher trainer, she began to attune to a deeper wisdom that helped her see that the old model of teachers as dispensers of knowledge was dying away. She left teaching for a time and followed other paths including completing her MA in Liberal Studies from Duke, but the call to teach persisted. Now, after years of doing her own inner work and spiritual explorations, coupled with the invigorating natural environment of Lake Atitlan, Sharon has finally returned to her one true passion. Sharon brings a dynamic energy into the classroom accentuated by her playful exuberance, attentive presence and her deep respect for curiosity and inner exploration.
